Gregor Bowman

Gregor Bowman started dancing at aged 8 in Dundee where he was born and grew up.  He had a successful competitive dancing career over 25 years in the UK and overseas with some of his achievements being:

• The World Championship 8 times
• The Commonwealth Championship 7 times
• The British Open Championship 16 times
• The SOBHD Oscar Award 14 times
• The Champion of Champions Championship of Australia
• North American Championship
• Northern Canadian Championship
• Atlantic International Championship
• Ontario Open Championship
• He has also danced in the impressive Ajax football stadium in Amsterdam in front of 60000 people.  On two occasions he was also a guest performer with the Scottish Dance Company of Canada in their production of Immrama and performed as a soloist at the Edinburgh Tattoo  on 2 occasions.
• Gregor is a Fellow, Examiner and member of the Executive Council of the Scottish Dance Teachers’ Alliance and currently the Highland Branch convener.  He is also a member of the SOBHD world wide panel of adjudicators.
• Gregor continues to teach workshops and adjudicate throughout the World and has the opportunity to visit many countries through Highland Dancing such as France, Hungary, Holland, Turkey, Japan, Dubai, South Africa, Canada, USA and Australia.
• Outwith Highland Dancing, Gregor works for the Royal Bank of Scotland specialising in Lean methodology.
