Helen Harris
Helen danced from the age of 10 with Margaret C. Ramsay and the SDTA, and had 3 years full -time training with Lilian McNeill and Nancy Moore, gaining her Advanced in ISTD Modern and RAD Ballet.
She then danced in most of Scotland’s theatres for the next 16 years, along with TV and cabaret work, including working as Head Girl, magician’s assistant, puppeteer, model, and Daisy the dancing Cow for Jimmy Logan !
Joining the SDTA with Associate Highland in 1975, she is now an Examiner and
Vice – President for the Ballet and Theatre Branch.
Helen has choreographed for TV, short films, summer schools, and various Musical Societies. She teaches in her own school, and is currently the Dance Director for the Glasgow Acting Academy’s Musical Theatre course.
