Lynne Hamilton
Lynne Hamilton started tap and ballet with Jack Muir when she was 3 years old. At age 7, she started Tap and Highland with Mrs Margaret Todd and was trained in Ballet by her mum, Jean Hamilton. Mrs Todd trained Lynne for all her Highland examinations and competitions and for this Lynne will always be truly grateful.
Lynne was a highly successful competitor in Highland up until she was 21 and has been choreographer for numerous musicals and patomimes over the years.
She taught with Mrs Todd for 30 years and also opened her own school in Forth in 2000 teaching Highland, Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Disco and Cheerdance.
Lynne is a Fellow and Examiner with the Scottish Dance Teachers’ Alliance and an Adjudicator for the Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing. She has adjudicated, examined and conducted workshops in Scotland, England, Ireland, Holland, America and Canada.
