Sad News

It is with great sadness that we advise of the passing of Loree Martin Vellner.

Loree passed away peacefully while in hospital December 31, 2017.  She was a gracious, kind, compassionate and generous lady who will be missed by all she touched. Loree, a former Life Member of the SDTA and SOBHD judges’ panel,  served as ScotDance Canada’s second President, and was appointed as an Independent Member in 1998. Loree retired from her Independent Member status in 2011 and subsequently was appointed an Emeritus member of ScotDance Canada. For many years, Loree was the sole sponsor of the choreography competitions at the ScotDance Canada Championship event—a true ambassador for highland dancing within and outside of Canada.  She is survived by her husband Bob, daughter Susan and son Marty.

Our thoughts are with Loree’s family at this time.
